Biodiversity & Sustainability
Welcome!
We are a non-profit association, promoting scientific research in Peru on biodiversity issues.
We develop reseach and conservation projects
PROJECTS
PERUVIAN
DESERT CAT
The pampas cat or desert cat (Leopardus colocola) is a small feline little studied despite its wide range of distribution in South America, which goes from the north of Ecuador to the south of Argentina.
CARNIVORE
PERSISTENCE
Today, more than a third of the world’s forest cover has been lost due to deforestation and land use change, leaving only 7.5% of the world’s protected areas connected.
Meet the Pacific
tropical forest
The Northwest Biosphere Reserve has recently expanded its boundaries. As such, it was created in 1977 encompassing what is currently the Cerros de Amotape National Park, the Tumbes National Reserve and the El Angolo Hunting Reserve.
Andean Biodiversity
This project seeks to determine the species richness of mammals both in the Cordillera Negra and Blanca. In a broadly scale we can classify mammals into two groups, medium-large and small.
WILDLIFE
ROADKILL IN PERU
Wildlife roadkils are little studied in our country, and are added to others threats caused by humans, such as deforestation and fragmentation of forests, climate change, hunting and the presence of exotic species.
ECOBAT
PERu
It is an initiative that was born with the purpose of generating an ultrasound library of bats in Peru. Inventories have been developed for more than a year in various departments of Peru, such as Lima, Iquitos, Tacna and Cajamarca.

We Are
Research Center of Biodiversity & Sustainability
It focuses its efforts on scientific and educational knowledge to promote sustainable development and conservation of the environment. With this knowledge we seek to support the local communities of Peru, so that they use their resources in a sustainable way and thus guarantee the conservation of the forests for the benefit of all.
